Kamaria Lofton is the creator and author of the

seven book, Kids Love Oakland Series.

Have author and early childhood educator, Kamaria Lofton come to your school or event to share the books in her Kids Love Oakland Series! Not only will your audience get to meet a local author, hear her read and participate in a Q&A session; they will also get to enjoy live music played on the guitar and take place in a give-a-way!

Born and raised in Oakland, CA Kamaria earned her B.A. in Scared Music from Patten University in 2003 and her M.A. in Early Education from Mills College in 2008. Ms. Lofton enjoys playing piano, guitar and the cello in the Patten Symphonette Community Orchestra as well as learning the sport of fencing. Most of all Kamaria enjoys taking her children to all of the delightful places in Oakland that she grew up exploring as a child.

Kamaria enjoys sharing the Kids Love Oakland Series and can tailor her presentation and writing workshops for any age group.

Remember, book readings aren't just for children!
